Version 8.5
Zork can now be initiated by clicking on a filename in Explorer, if you
define the filetype to start zork.exe. The read file and save file
dialogs now offer an additional filetype, .zor, in case .gam is already
being used by some other game software.

19 Sep 1998
Version 8.4
Added verify dialog to Delete Game.
Refreshed filename in window title after Save As...

16 May 1998
Version 8.3
Added menu item to reverse chessboard display.

12 May 1998
Version 8.2
Various minor tuning enhancements.

02 May 1998
Version 8.1

Added "Paste Read Compare". Zork finds the opponent's name in the Windows paste buffer, generates a filename, reads the game file, compares the game file to the game in the paste buffer, and displays the current position.

Added "Copy Game Report". This places a game report message in the Windows paste buffer.

Version 8.0
When I added in logic for automatic comparison of both games of a two-game match in Version 7, the result was somewhat quirky. I have redone the two-game match logic, in particular storing the two-game indicator in the game file, where I should have put it to begin with, instead of trying to rely on inferences.

21 Apr 1998
Version 7.3
 - added a dialog for editing the IECG chess clock

17 Apr 1998
 - bug fix: in the IECG chess clock, if you answer on the same
day as you receive a move, Zork does not set the "time used
this move" field back to zero.

15 Apr 1998
 - put "Copy for Archive" back on Game menu
 - bug fix: spurious "PGN Site occurs more than once" message
   issued during Paste

15 Apr 1998
 - removed "Copy Multiple" and "Multiple" from the Game menu,
they were pretty obscure anyway, and were just trashing up
the menu after the addition of "Paste & Compare Two Games"

14 Apr 1998
Version 7.2
 - added color choices to the Options menu
 - added menu items to implement the new Version 7 feature
    - paste & compare once for both games of a two-game match
which didn't always work, making it necessary to copy and
"Paste & Compare" the second game separately after all, and
if "Edit Message" was used before going to the second game,
the opponent's second game score went into the message buffer.

14 Apr 1998
 - bug fixed: error message for multiple occurrences of the same
kind of PGN statement occurred erroneously in two-game matches

14 Apr 1998
Version 7.1
 - added "Copy & Save for Repeat" to Game menu: this bypasses
updating the IECG chess clock when sending a repeat
 - check for multiple occurrences of the same kind of PGN statement
 - removed "Copy for Archive" from Game menu

07 Apr 1998
Version 7.0
 - algorithm to resolve an ambiguous move, when logically possible
 - default mode for web-based mail programs like Yahoo!
 - private notes area in game files
 - IECG time calculations
 - paste & compare once for both games of a two-game match
 - multi-segment pasting
 - undo and redo five or ten moves at a time
 - correcting false blanks (0xa0) generated by some mail servers
 - a variety of minor tuning modifications
 - fixes applied for all known bugs
